St. Louis scored touchdowns on its first five possessions and added a field goal on its sixth. Rookie Derek Carr finished 24-of-39 for 173 yards and threw interceptions on consecutive drives in the second quarter for Oakland (1-11), which snapped a 16-game losing streak with last Thursdays 24-20 home victory over Kansas City. The Rams came out throwing the ball as the first nine plays were all passes. Hill completed eight of them for 125 yards, including a 35-yard touchdown pass to Mason on a screen play. Hill scored on a bootleg to the right from the 2-yard line to cap the second St. Louis drive, then Tavon Austin took a jet sweep going left and raced 18 yards to the end zone to make it 21-0 with 2:37 remaining in the first quarter. Conversely, the first three Oakland possessions resulted in three-and-outs. The Raiders finally moved the chains -- just barely -- before punting and pinning St. Louis at its own 6-yard line. Following an encroachment penalty, Mason blew through a huge hole up the middle, picked up a key block downfield and sprinted 89 yards for the touchdown. Carr threw interceptions on the next two Oakland drives, leading to 10 more points for the Rams before halftime. Cory Harkey caught a 4-yard touchdown pass and Greg Zuerlein kicked a 38-yard field goal. The 38-point halftime deficit was the largest in Raiders history. In the fourth quarter, Mason scored on an 8-yard run and Trumaine Johnson returned a Matt Schaub interception 43 yards for a touchdown.
