Winnipeg Goldeyes manager Rick Forney announced today the acquisition of left-handed pitcher Ryan Bollinger from the Trois-Rivieres Aigles of the Can-Am League for players to be named later. Bollinger, 23, went 4-7 with a 4.73 ERA in 13 appearances, including 10 starts, with the Aigles this season. He also appeared in seven games out of the bullpen with the St. Paul Saints this season. A product of Minot, North Dakota, Bollinger played three seasons in the Chicago White Sox organization at the Rookie and Class A levels from 2011-2013 after starting his professional career with the Windy City Thunderbolts of the Frontier League in 2010. To make room the roster, infielder Sam Kimmel has been placed on irrevocable waivers for the purpose of granting his release. The Goldeyes have 22 players on their active roster, including 12 pitchers and 10 position players. Winnipeg begins a three-game series in Sioux Falls against the Canaries tonight.
