In his regular stats column, Sky Sports commentator Martin Tyler looks at which defenders have netted the most, and whos the best bet for tackling... How to send your questions to Martin:Tweet @SkyFootball using the hashtag #TylersTeasers. Martin’s starting statsOn Super Sunday, Steven Gerrard became only the seventh opponent to score against Chelsea in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge this season – following Englishmen Jonjo Shelvey, Charlie Austin and Ben Mee plus Scot Charlie Adam, Spaniard David Silva and Serb Dusan Tadic. Plus John Terry scored an own goal for Swansea.Jose Mourinho is slowly edging towards 200 home goals as Chelsea boss. His Chelsea sides have scored 199 in 97 matches with one home game to go this season.I’ve been waiting for number 200 for a long time! In their home league games in 2015 the results have been 2-0 v Newcastle; 1-1 v Man City; 1-0 v Everton; 1-1- v Burnley; 1-1- v Southampton; 2-1 v Stoke; 1-0 v Man Utd; 1-0 v Crystal Palace and 1-1 v Liverpool. As a follower of cricket history I was reminded of a famous quote “we’ll get them in singles”, said by George Hirst to Wilfred Rhodes in 1902 – its now being said by Jose Mourinho to the rest of the world! Will Mourinho finish on 72 goals again as he did in both of his previous Premier League title-winning seasons? They are on 70 with two games left.Terry’s goal saw him eclipse David Unsworth’s record for goals from a defender with his 39th Premier League goal and his 65th for Chelsea in his 668th game (457 in the Premier League). He has equalled his best tally for a season of eight in all competitions. That leads us on to our first question…Back to frontJohn Terry became the highest-scoring PL defender ever, but which defender has the most in one season? What about without penalties? (Chris, Liverpool) Terry is the Premier Leagues highest-scoring defender MARTIN SAYS: Terry moved to 39 Premier League goals with his header against Liverpool on Super Sunday, meaning he overtakes David Unsworth at the top of the list. Ian Harte scored 28, while Leighton Baines is the only other current defender in the top five with 26, and William Gallas is one further behind.Terry’s goal was his fifth in the league this season and he needs one more to match his highest tally of six back in 2011/12.Only one defender has ever reached double figures in the Premier League, though, and that was West Ham’s Julian Dicks, who scored 10 goals for the Hammers back in 1995/96. He was also joint Premier League top scorer for the club that season, with Tony Cottee also netting 10.Dicks took the penalties, though, and five of his goals came from the spot. Matthew Taylor was officially regarded as a defender in the 2008/09 season for Bolton, and he scored nine league goals with none of them being spot kicks. If you think Taylor – who regularly played further forward – doesn’t count, then Joleon Lescott netted eight for Everton in 2007/08 without scoring a penalty.Marathon menWhich player has run the furthest total distance over the season? (Mark Knott)MARTIN SAYS: Four players have cracked the 400-kilometre barrier so far this season. Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen is the marathon man with a total of 407.29km covered. To put that into context, as the crow flies it’s roughly 360km from White Hart Lane to Paris! Christian Eriksen has covered more ground than anyone Below Eriksen, Burnley’s Scott Arfield (405.22km) and George Boyd (403.76km) are next, while Stoke midfielder Steven N’Zonzi (402.83) completes the 400 club.Furthest distance covered (km)Christian Eriksen – 407.29Scott Arfield – 405.22George Boyd – 403.76Steven N’Zonzi – 402.83Jake Livermore – 392.82David Jones – 387.68Jordan Henderson – 385.50Nemanja Matic – 384.97Jack Colback – 381.83Cesc Fabregas – 380.00In terms of averages, Boyd averages 11.88km per game which is the best out of the 10 players above. His team-mate Arfield (11.58km) is next, while Jack Colback (11.57km) and Cesc Fabregas (11.52km) are the only others averaging above 11.5km a game.Man City have scored at least four in a game quite a few times – who’ s done it the most in one season? (Jamie P) Sergio Aguero scored a hat-trick in the 6-0 win over QPR MARTIN SAYS: Sunday’s 6-0 victory over QPR was the sixth time Manchester City have registered four or more goals in a Premier League game this season. With just two games left, they’ll fall well short of their total of 11 from last season – a stat also matched by free-scoring Liverpool last term.Manchester United feature heavily on the list, scoring four or more in 10 different league games in both 1999/00 and 2001/02. They also did it nine times in their title-winning season in 2007/08 – when Cristiano Ronaldo incidentally scored 31 goals – and they repeated that in 2009/10.The champions that season, though, were Chelsea, who also scored 4+ goals on nine occasions. If City manage the feat in their remaining two games, they’ll match their tally of eight from the 2011/12 season when they of course won their first title.Who is the best tackler in the Premier League? (Twesigye Ephraim)MARTIN SAYS: Opta have looked at this for us and found some really interesting results. It perhaps doesn’t come as a big shock that Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic has won the most tackles (95), but next up is that man George Boyd again with 81. Nathan Dyer has the best tackle success rate in the league Morgan Schneiderlin (79), Joel Ward (77) and Victor Wanyama make up the top five (75), but it looks like no one will catch up with Chelsea’s enforcer. In terms of tackle success, though, things look a little different. Ruling out anyone who has won fewer than 25 challenges, Opta have revealed Nathan Dyer is the best bet to win a tackle, with the Swansea wide man enjoying a success rate of 89.29 per cent.Charlie Adam (89.13%) of Stoke is close behind Dyer, with Leighton Baines (88.68%), Curtis Davies (88.57%) and Adam Lallana (88.37%) are also on the list. Adidas Stan Smith Aanbieding . Coming off a 6-0 drubbing at Chelsea on Saturday, Arsenal endured another demoralizing result after rallying for a 2-1 lead -- only to concede a fluke equalizer. Adidas Prophere Kopen . Already owning gold from competition in Vancouver in 2010, Loch posted a combined four-run time of 3:27.526. That included a track-record third run of 51. http://www.nmdtekoop.com/prophere-sneakers.html . Hoefl-Rieschs exit — from the downhill course into safety nets, then airlifted from the slope by helicopter — left Anna Fenninger of Austria favourite to win her first giant crystal trophy one month after becoming an Olympic champion. NMD_R1 Schoenen . The 24-year-old Pruneau played his CIS football with the Montreal Carabins. The six-foot, 200-pound Montreal native had 41 tackles, 3. Adidas Superstar Nederland . -- Kansas City Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer will be out three to six weeks with a stress fracture of the third finger of his right hand.STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Goals by Romelu Lukaku and Eden Hazard gave Belgium a 2-0 win over Sweden in a World Cup warm-up game Sunday. After a slow start, the Belgians took advantage of a Swedish defensive mistake that allowed Axel Witsel to set up the Everton striker in the 34th minute. Hazard easily rolled in the second goal in the 78th from a pass by Kevin De Bruyne. "In the first 10 minutes of the match I felt we were a bit hesitant, they played a bit soft," Belgium coach Marc Wilmots said about his team. "Then they got five to six opportunities and they found a solution to get into the game." Sweden, which played without injured star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, had its best chance in the 68th minute when Jimmy Durmaz hit the crossbar after a corner. Ibrahimovic decided to sit out the game just before the start citing back problems. Expectations are high on Belgiums young team, wiith stars like Lukaku, Hazard and Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany, ahead of the World Cup.dddddddddddd. It is the countrys first World Cup in 12 years, and it will play Russia, South Korea and Algeria in Group H. Lukaku, who scored the two decisive goals against Croatia that sent Belgium to the World Cup, also scored a hat trick against Luxembourg on Monday. The 21-year-olds position in the team has become much more important after Belgiums No. 1 Christian Benteke went down with an Achilles injury in April, and out of the World Cup. Hazard said the atmosphere in the team is good ahead of the tournament. "There are always things to work on but I think at the end of the day we kept a clean sheet and I think except for the first 15 minutes the organization of the team was good," he said. Sweden failed to qualify for the World Cup after losing to Portugal in a playoff. ' ' ' as they became just the fourth team in NHL history to win a best-of-seven series after losing the first three games. And one player who has adapted well to the Hollywood spotlight is the 25-year-old Muzzin. Muzzin has proven worthy of the top-pairing assignment during just his second trip to the NHL post-season. Last year, Muzzin picked up three assists in 17 playoff games while averaging 15:50 of ice time per game. This year, Muzzin already has two goals and three assists through seven games while averaging 18:26 of ice time. "I think its just probably a little bit more experience," Sutter said. "If you take last years playoff where he was in and out of the lineup or didnt play that much, this year weve had to rely on him a little bit more to get him ready for playoffs and thats sort of just a continuation of that." "Jake was only on for one goal against in the whole series [against San Jose], shows you how good he was playing," said Doughty. "We did well offensively too [combining for 12 points]. The good thing about me and Muzz is when a teams emphasis is so hard on the forecheck, our breakout ability is really good where one of us can do it on our own. We can talk to each other, help out and I think that is the strength of us. We dont spend a lot of time in our D-zone. And when we do, were both physical, big guys who can pin a guy to have a loose puck and we can get it that way. We did really well in our D-zone, and thats why we were successful as a pair." Joe Pavelski, Joe Thornton, Logan Couture, Patrick Marleau and Brent Burns were held to just one goal over the final four games of the series against the Kings thanks in large part to the work of Muzzin and Doughty. "We were a lot better in our zone," said Muzzin when asked about the reversal in fortune in the series. "Getting pucks in and out, not giving them chances to create cycle opportunities and chances like that. [Jonathan Quick] made some big saves when called upon. But as a whole team, we definitely limited their chances by being quick in our zone and I think we had better gaps on the rush and better awareness on our changes and on the rush as well." NOTES: Jeff Carter and Willie Mitchell (lower body) did not take part in Fridays practice at the teams facility in El Segundo. Sutter said it was an optional skate and Carter took the option after working out off the ice on Thursday. Carter did see his ice time dip in the final few games of the Sharks series, playing 13:07 in Game 6 and 14:06 in Game 7 ... Anze Kopitar on whether theres any difference between facing Frederik Andersen and Jonas Hiller: "No, I dont think its going to matter too much, except for the left catch (Andersen) and the right catch (Hiller). Thats the biggest difference." ... Forward lines at practice minus Carter: Gaborik-Kopitar-Brown; Pearson-Nolan-Toffoli; King-Stoll-Williams; Clifford-Richards-Nolan. ' ' 'ando in the 19th minute. Real Salt Lake got a chance in the 34th minute, but Javi Morales free kick sailed just over the bar. RSL got another in the 40th minute when Grabavoys header off Luke Mulhollands cross was grabbed by Portland goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts. Maximiliano Urruti had two opportunities for Portland early in the second half. His first shot was tipped by Rimando in the 58th minute and his second went just right of the post 2 minutes later. Grabavoy broke open the scoreless match with his left-footed goal in the 78th minute that sailed past a diving Ricketts and into the bottom corner. Rimando was the difference in the match, making a pair of dramatic saves of hard shots by Portlands Gaston Fernandez in the final minutes. ' ' '
