Philippe Gadoury had a pair of goals for the Mooseheads (42-18-3), who extended their win streak to eight games. MacKenzie Weegar scored once and set up three more while Brent Andrews, Luca Ciampini and Darcy Ashley added the others. Halifaxs Zachary Fucale turned away 30-of-31 shots for the victory. Cape Bretons Raphael Corriveau snapped Fucales shutout bid with a goal at 7:03 of the third period, after the Mooseheads had built a 10-goal lead.
